National Track Championships

The track champs last week were my first chance to race in the rainbow bands of World Champion. Coming 2 weeks after the Worlds (my target for the year) my form was never going to be great, but I thought there was a chance of a couple of good rides. The team sprint was really the one we wanted to do a ride in. This went really well, a world record (for Rik, Jody and myself), smooth changes and of course no disqualification! The 200m was OK, a world record but only a bronze. The kilo and the pursuit didn't go quite as well, being a fair way off my best. All in all an enjoyable (though not very successful) way to end the season. Now it's time for a rest before starting training again for next year.
