Well it has been a busy Year for Darren
- There were the five Medals and two world records at the Beijing Paralympics
- Received Sports Journalists' Association Award
- Took part in a 24 Hour Cycling marathon
- An appearance on Who wants to be a millionaire
- Awarded an OBE
- Set a new Athlete Hour Record
The embarrassing baby photos are being saved for next year.
Hi Darren,
Well done on your continuing acheivements and honours. In recognition of these, Moors Valley Country Park would like to put on a Family Bike Ride in your honour during Bike Week. We would call it the Gold Medal Ride.It would be FREE and everyone who takes part will get a "gold" medal to take home. We would like to run it on saturday 13th June and it would be a fun cycle around the park. Having you there in person would be the icing on the cake, although I know what a hectic schedule you have. Is there any way we could chat about it to make sure you are ok with this and can we use a photo of you for publicity?
